Assistant General Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and senior leaders in driving strategic and operational excellence across our multinational conglomerate. This role will help shape business direction, ensure efficient operations, and foster a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization.
• Assist in preparing annual financial, marketing budgets and the strategic plan.
• Support marketing, sales and promotional initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Maintain excellent internal and external customer service relations.
• Ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks throughout the organization.
• Drive strategic enhancements and continuous improvement.
• Build strong communication channels across all divisions and levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years progressive senior management experience in multi‑department organizations.
• Background in retail, automotive, shipping or distribution sectors is highly preferred.
• Experience managing large teams in a unionized environment.
• Proven success in operational leadership, strategic planning, and financial management.
• Experience in change management and organizational development.
